Not a Girl! – - Feminist Blog

Any-hoo and other excitements

The girly things I hate

1. Using stupid girly/baby words like “any-hoo” (my favourite quote from one of my favourite movies, Hard Candy)

2. women and teen girls jumping up and down and hugging and shrieking when something mildy exciting happens.

3. giggling fits of embarrasment and “silly me!” after a teen girl/women has said something ’silly’ and realised how ’stupid’ the thing she just said was (or after this was pointed out to them by a guy). Instead of just saying, “oops,” and moving on. Not making it a big, “oh, what a silly, silly, girl I am! Typical girl!”

4. seeing a teen girl/women in ridiculously high pointy heels on uneven ground trip and fall.
